The outlook for so many of the puppies and kittens that are born in the US is tragic. Many end up in shelters, roaming the streets, diseased, or euthanized. But there is something every one of us can do to help. You don't have to be a large corporation or have a lot of money to donate.

Here are a few ways you can help this great cause:

• Spay or Neuter Your Own Pet (and encourage relatives and friends to do the same.
• Organize a Local Event
• Volunteer at an Event Near You
• Sponsor the Spay/Neuter of an Animal in Need
